Corporate Environmental and Social Responsibility

The following principles have been designed to uphold our commitment to conduct business in a manner that protects the environment, and the health and safety of employees, customers, and the public:

  • Health and Safety
    Foster a culture that makes the health, safety, and well-being of our employees our number one priority and provides every employee the absolute right and obligation to stop, question, and correct any unsafe act or condition.
  • Compliance
    Conduct our business in accordance with all applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, and other relevant standards to which we may voluntarily subscribe, and provide the training, management systems, and resources necessary to do so.
  • Pollution Prevention and Resource Conservation
    Factor pollution prevention and resource conservation opportunities into our business planning and operating decisions to help reduce our impact on the environment.
  • Open Communication
    Maintain an open and honest dialogue with our employees and stakeholders about the environmental, health and safety performance of our operations and services.
  • Continuous Improvement
    Establish key measures to track our performance, set objectives and targets to drive continuous performance improvement, conduct audits and assessments, and promptly correct conditions that we determine threaten human health, safety or the environment.
  • Profitability
    Recognize that earning a profit is essential to our future success as a socially responsible and environmentally savvy business.

We actively bring our principles to fruition by integrating them into two core components: Environment and Social Responsibility. We engage staff members in this process by having a committee that monitors operations of these core groups. The following are examples of future or current programs that embody the core components:

Environment - One of the greatest positive impacts we can have on the environment is reducing our paper waste. We will implement a recycling program within the office that will include paper, aluminum, plastic, and glass products. As we develop a program for our internal operations, we would like to extend it to our entire building as well as positively impact the community with our efforts. Also, we will ensure that companies we do business with adhere to a similar philosophy of product use and waste reduction.

Social Responsibility - This area allows for active participation amongst staff members. We have launched a quarterly health and wellness day that emphasizes prevention to promote the health of our employees and their loved ones. The workshops focus on areas such as alternative medicine, massage, stress management, nutrition, and exercise. Ultimately, having healthy and happy employees will ensure a superior level of productivity and interaction with our clients.

By following our principles, implementing environmental and socially responsible programs, and recognizing that profit is needed to ensure our future success, we can successfully expand Environmental Health Testing to a level of utmost awareness, respect, and solidarity with our global community.
